Narratives of events passed can affect generations future much the same if experienced by the reader. For instance, the story of a young man who spread some rumors about another was instructed by his grandfather – as a punishment as well as a life lesson – take a pennyweight of nails and using a hammer, hit each nail into a backyard fence. Upon completing the task, the boy was instructed to remove the nails. Then the wise older main expressed with profound wisdom: “Notice that even when the nails are removed the scared timber remains evident for all to judge as they please”.
Thus a life lesson that could teach generations of others.
