Letters and notes were a common occurrence from Paul Felt to the love of his life.  The Paul and Afton Felt home witnessed the evidence of love and respect; not passion evidence by lip to lip as seems to be the symbol but more important, anecdotes such as this letter and note left behind after leaving for the office.

Additionally, in the Felt household, all too common was the voice of father when returning home:

“Afton, I’m home!” .

As Dad, has said on any number of occasions:

“We would kiss when leaving the room”
